Recently RIF'ed? You've still got friends.

If you were working in public diplomacy and were just let go, the Public Diplomacy Council of America wants to help you to stay connected with colleagues and up to date on current developments and future trends.

PDCA is now offering FREE MEMBERSHIP with no fees until 2026 to anyone working in a public diplomacy-related field who was involuntarily separated (RIF'ed) from a U.S. Government position this year. Our offer includes those subject to the RIF notices from the State Department, and also from USAGM. Please note that it does not extend to persons who retired voluntarily, although all PD veterans are still welcome and encouraged to join PDCA at our standard rates.

By joining PDCA, you will gain access to over 400 professionals and scholars in the same field, receive invitations to virtual and in-person events, and get weekly updates on developments in government and nonprofit public diplomacy. You need not live in the D.C. area to take advantage of membership, as almost all of our events include an online option.

Here’s how to apply. Go to https://www.publicdiplomacy.org/membership.php for full information and select the button for the New Member Application Form. When applying for membership, note the date you were involuntarily separated from the USG, and we will take care of the rest.
