After State: Employment Opportunities in Academe
To help colleagues navigate life after State, PDCA’s Academic Study and Program Committees invite you to join a virtual panel on employment in academe scheduled for Oct. 21 at 6:00 p.m. ET via Zoom. You may register to participate in the zoom call through Eventbrite.
Phillip Arceneaux and Jami Fullerton, both members of the Academic Study Committee (ASC), will discuss full-time teaching. Arceneaux is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication at Miami University; Fullerton holds the Lawrence L. Boger Endowed Chair in International Studies and is Associate Dean and Director of the School of Global Studies at Oklahoma State University.
Karen Walker, ASC co-chair, will share her experience as an adjunct faculty member of the Johns Hopkins University Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Advanced Academic Programs, where she teaches/has taught speechwriting, corporate social responsibility communication campaigns, strategic communication program management, and international PR and public diplomacy.
Katherine Ntiamoah, Director of Policy Engagement and Strategic Partnerships at Indiana University’s Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies, will offer insight on leadership roles to strengthen an institution’s global policy network, expand its strategic partnerships, and connect academic expertise to international decision-making spaces.
PDCA Co-President and ASC member Vivian Walker will offer opening and closing remarks and moderate Q&A with the viewing audience.
