Council Members: Find Your Colleagues

One of our members recently asked, “How do I find others in the PDCA?”

A major value of belonging to the Public Diplomacy Council of America is the connection to other members. If you’re in our group, how can you find others with similar interests, or look up a former colleague with whom you’ve lost touch?

A member directory is a service we offer you on our website.

How do I get into the directory?

All you have to do is click on this link to access our website:  https://publicdiplomacy.org

Then logon. (If you have forgotten your credentials, write to members@publicdiplomacy.org to refresh them.)

Your screen will probably look like the one shown here. Select the Member tab on the top left.  Click on that icon and then scroll down to “Member Name Search” to look up a specific person or click on “Member Directory” to browse for names.

Hope you are able to connect with long lost friends and colleagues soon!

What if I want to see members near me?

The Member Name Search button lets you put in a name and search for it. If you select Member Directory, you get that plus lots more options.

The Member Directory button is helpful if you want to find those who share connections with you and each other. You can search by key word (e.g., “education”), find members near you or look for those in a specific location (Zip code, or by state). Play around with this; it’s fun to see who’s who.

And remember -- you're in the directory too.

While you’re on your member page, you can also review your own contact information. You can:
- Edit and update your data
- Provide a photo of yourself, and update or fill in your short bio.  (Documents cannot be attached.)
-Choose geographic and topical interests from a list
-Review the status of your dues payments.

Here's hoping that this guide may prompt some of you readers to check the wealth of information available behind the home page. Our Committee looks forward to questions and comments. Send them to Editor@publicdiplomacy.org
